As a nurse ( former VA nurse) changes or adjustments in psychotropic medications can cause mental changes, psychosis , mental break. With being said, recreational drugs were not addressed this morning in the press. Either way, this is a very very sad and horrific time for all involved . I pray for all concerned 😟.

Thank you for explaining as there is a case of the same in my small town. My friend since I was 5 was killed by his son last January by stabbing. His son also has a mental illness and partakes in illegal drugs. So sad he would not get help.

I also want to point out that an insanity plea is by no means getting off easy. State run psych hits for this level of issue are not pleasant places and there is no end date. Many people have more freedom in prison

he hid the weapon, checked into hotel vs sleep at guest house, took shower to wash off blood, and put hands up the second cops pulled into parking lot (before police opened car door). he knew what he did... he knew it was wrong.
