the reason why talion wasn't allowed to fight vs sauron was because he would actually win the fight. the alternative universe shelob saw, talion beat sauron up..then made him his servant,and then was overwhelmed by the amount of power and became another conqueror. essentially replacing a dark lord with equally terrible bright lord. so he actually prevented the worst from happening
