We bought tape measures named each one (we have two boys) that way we can keep it with us forever as we too had a door with scored marks for every 6 months 😓

Get a length of wood from b&q up to 6ft and mark them off each child to a side using the current markers on the door. You can attach and move anywhere to want x

Maybe make like a cardboard long strip (one for each child) and cover it with leftover wallpaper from their rooms if you have and make like a giant ruler 📏 with their heights by copying them from the door if that makes sense 😄
