yeah, check out detachment from judgment, rewire neural pathways that cause emotionality. All emotions are created by defiance of expectation and subconscious judgments, nothing external. It's all internal subconscious judgment and due to heuristics, time-saving habits created in your brain, past judgments are saved for future response. you can revisit past judgments and revise your opinion about certain matters in order to remove triggers for yourself to remain internally resilient and reduce emotionality. "It is what it is", helps. But so does The logical philosophy that in life there is no ultimate certainty for anyone or anything, except for paradoxical statements like these. hence, we cannot ultimately be certain over what is good or bad in life. because even bad things may have distant and far-reaching good effects. just because we don't see it in the moment, doesn't mean it's not the case. so while heuristics is a practical survival mechanism for pre-modern humans, however in a world that has changed quickly and has so many evolving contexts, it starts to be not such a beneficial trait in all areas. judgment is kind of the common denominator. and Detachment from judgment is in taoism mostly out of any school of that, followed by Buddhism and stoicism. there's technically a passage in the Bible about it, but its meaning is generally lost. for the Bible one to elaborate more, technically, it says that the first sin is eating from the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil, alluding to the fact that only God can know what's good or bad, and for a human being to know what's good or bad, brings them out of heaven. and I find that conceptually relevant to detachment from judgment as a practice. your brain rewires neural pathways that are connected to memories and Etc.
