@malpluscats: There is literally zero reason for me to scruff my 4 pound kitten. I’d rather they maul me to death before I even agree to scruffing them for any reason.

Scruffing a cat is only appropriate if the cat is a danger to itself or others. It’s not comfortable for the cat however it’s not meant to be. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to do things to animals that they don’t understand. Scruffing is not good or bad. It’s a technique that’s only to be used in very specific instances. If you’re not comfortable doing it, that’s fine but you should know how to do it in cases where you have to use it.

It honestly hurts them more when you squeeze there bodies the way you did instead of scruff the way their cats moms would do

I’ve always said when meditation comes out or a vets visit is upcoming a cat is like water. Hard to grab and almost impossible to pop in the carrier. They know. Sometimes you’ve got to grab the cat by the proverbial horns and get stuff done.

you can do it bro don’t hold them in the air so their weight isnt heavy for them sit her in the sink so her feet are on the sink then scruff her
