Tens of thousands have been displaced in just weeks. Famine conditions are already present in parts of the region. The UN has said it clearly: Kordofan is showing the same warning signs that preceded mass atrocities in Darfur. We have seen this pattern before and history will NOT accept "we didn't know" as an excuse. This is about civilian protection. This is about accountability for war crimes. This is about stopping mass suffering before it escalates even further.
