This useless trend of Open Patcher. The latest stable Os you can go up to is Monterey, but it will never run as smooth as like with the Os your mac was designed for. Beside, most of modern features won't work

No one‘s mentioning this, but like the reason it’s glitchy is because the GPU doesn’t support metal that you can upgrade the GPU. The problem is it’s a mixed bag whether the GP will work or not. Most people have found that it works the best of the use Alienware GPUs, but your mileage may vary because of that I have two 2011 iMacs that I have not raised past a certain OS now there are patches also they’re supposed to fix it. I have not seen that work well.

I just downgraded my 2020 I3 MacBook to Catalina and she’s running new. The new versions are definitely just made for the M chips.

you have to boot from efi on usb always, until you finish the installation, on each restart sequence of the installation process until you finally reach macos desktop, then install opencore on the actual macos, not the usb drive
