Food can still be love! My sweet boy always gets his dry food with some hot water and some fish oil or a chicken foot and he always gets a small treat or 2 before bed so he sleeps with something in his tummy. Making sure you give your pets healthy treats and food is the love part. Feeding them junk food and things that are not meant for dogs is not loving. I saw a woman feeding her overweight lab a Twinkie for Christmas. It made me sad.

dogs don't care true but it's still unprofessional. like you said, take the concern to the client. I grew up with fat dogs that didn't live long healthy lives and even as a kid I couldn't stand it. my dogs, while any of my kids or I are eating, must be laying down and not lingering close by watching us eat. I'm very strict with attention to the dogs while the kids are eating.

I started free feeding my dog because it kinda made me feel wrong that you can’t get eat when they want and it helped her not scarf there food and none of them are over weight. They also play majority of the time so they get a lot of exercise

fat shaming a dog topic is whatever. Unless they revealed the client themself, i dont think publicly sharing pictures of the dog and calling it a fat a55 and stuff is that unprofessional. Judt dont give out identifying info about the client.
