@lightwithziona: Unexpectedly, we were told last minute that we would be judged in a sponsored workout set and the opening number dress. Both outfits were far more revealing than anything I would ever choose to wear. My sister and I were the only two who couldn’t compromise our standards. I refused to step on stage half-dressed just to be chosen by judges. As a catholic, it should be more about respecting yourself and not calling out other women in the process. It is completely OK to dress modest and have those beliefs, but it is not OK to call out other people and make them feel bad for their dressing decisions. It would be just as terrible if it was the other way around.

How are you so sure that the other girls compromised their standards? I’m a Christian AND a titleholder, we shouldn’t put others down to uplift ourselves. Pageantry at its core is about sisterhood and supporting the choices of women. Modesty is subjective.
