@thecountertruth: How much do pharmacists make? Pharmacist salaries can vary widely depending on practice setting, location, experience, and responsibilities. Retail pharmacists, hospital pharmacists, clinical specialists, industry roles, and long-term care pharmacists all have different pay structures and expectations. Factors like rural versus urban practice, leadership roles, shift differentials, and demand can significantly impact earnings. Understanding how pharmacist pay works helps students and professionals make informed career decisions and set realistic expectations about compensation in pharmacy. #PharmacistSalary #PharmacyCareers #PharmacistLife #HealthcareJobs

This is the problem. Starting salary in 2015 $130k. Starting salary in 2025 $130 except inflation is up over 25% in that span. Wages are not keeping up

Started at ~$121,500 as an clinical oncology pharmacist after completing residency in 2021… made a career switch to specialty retail recently, and the salary isn’t much different but the work life balance is WILDLY better

Hospital pharmacists make more in NY. I was a retail pharmacist and manager but decided to go back and do residency and now work in a corporate health system pharmacy team and my directors make over 200k!

I wish I had your attitude toward retail. I hate my job. mostly because we only have 3 hrs of rph overlap per week.

I could only last 2 years in retail. I won't go back. I'll help people find lumber at Home Depot before I ever go back.

I graduated in 2005. I’ve made between 97-157k. I own two businesses too and didn’t count those. If you can find a niche, you can make a lot more.

I love retail too. Especially my store it’s super chill. I have time to work out every problem with every single patient. I make 160k and work a prn specialty infusion job making additional ~10k-12k a year. This does not include my annual stock my company gives me and bonuses at my main job. Also hospital pharmacy to me is redundant you work a 9-5 and see the same ppl every day.

30-35% of the salary goes for taxes and other things; so basically it’s not even six figure income anymore

Rolla offered me $61.29/hr plus %20 differentials so it averages out to 71.41/hr for a 7 on 7 off hospital position, and it’s not overnights. Oh and 90 days to become licensed with pharmacist pay! Yes I think the gap is closing.
