@basicsundaycooking: Realistic Korean dinner recipes ⬇️ LA galbi or Korean short ribs 2-3lbs of flanken-cut beef short ribs (also sold at Asian grocery stores) 1 tbsp sugar 1 cup galbi marinade (I use CJ Foods Original Korean BBQ for Kalbi) 1 cup water 1 onion, sliced (optional) 1 bunch scallions, cut 2” long (optional) 1. In a large bowl, mix cold water with sugar (enough to fully cover the ribs). Soak the ribs for 30 minutes. 2. Drain the sugar water, then rinse the ribs under cold water, removing any small bone fragments or debris. 3. Mix the marinade with water 4. If using onions and scallions, mix them directly with the ribs and marinade. Transfer them to an air-tight container, cover, and marinate overnight in the fridge. 5. If not using veggies, either layer the ribs with the marinade as shown in the video, or mix the ribs and sauce together in a bowl. Transfer to an airtight container and marinate overnight in the fridge. 6. To cook, place the ribs in an air fryer basket or tray. Cook at 350°F (no preheating needed) for 15 mins, flipping the ribs halfway through. Enjoy! Korean stir-fried potatoes 2 medium Yukon potatoes, peeled and julienne or batonnet cut 1/4 onion, sliced 1/2 carrot, peeled and julienne 1/2 - 1 tsp salt 1 tsp sesame oil Roasted sesame seeds Black pepper 1. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 10 mins. Drain, give a quick rinse, and pat dry. 2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-heat 3. Add the potatoes and cook for ~10 mins, gently tossing to prevent sticking 4. Add the onions, carrots, salt, and black pepper 5. Continue cooking for 10-15 mins, gently tossing occasionally, until the potatoes are tender but still hold their shape. 6. Finish with a drizzle of sesame oil and sprinkle of roasted sesame seeds. Adjust seasoning as needed. #koreanfood #galbi #kalbi #homecooking #tofu

It's much easier just to make the marinade. It's soy sauce cut with some water, just a ton of garlic, a ton of onions, chopped and not processed... sugar, some brown sugar if you wanna add a Asian pair if you have it, but a lot of people don't. Don't forget the sesame seed oil you can add black pepper. And if you're from the south, you can add a bit of Coca-Cola. You can add jalapeño as well.
