Hydrologically speaking, the Green River watershed received more rainfall than the 1906 event that split the Green and White. More then 26,000 cfs of water was coming through Eagle Gorge, mercifully being stopped by Howard Hanson. In 1906, it was estimated to only have 20,000 cfs from the Green in Auburn. And that 26k doesn't include an extra 1,500 cfs from Newaukum Creek and 2,200 cfs from Soos Creek.

I’ve never seen flooding this bad. Maybe the last time I really saw it this bad was my senior year December 2007. That was bad.

That’s why they call it a 100 year flood. Btw you should do the history of how Auburn came to be during that time and how the king county farmers caused the white river to flow into the stuck river and changed that area forever. I’m obsessed with the aquatic system is controlled in this area. It’s really interesting.

31 years ago you could literally drive a boat from Sultan to Monroe to Snohomish and all the way to Everett through the floodwaters. Hwy #2 washed out between Snohomish and Monroe then. It was insane. Then they turn around and build new house's and apartment's in wetlands. WTF & how was it possible to build on wetlands?????

Most of that bridge is still on bottom. There are two bridges now as well and the anchors cables for both bridges run underneath the others.

NorCal too, my friends moms house flooded! its crazy! 🤯🥺 . here in Idaho, we're just now starting to get snow where I live but we're gonna have really bad mud slides in the spring..

This is a perfect explanation. I’m so TIRED of hearing from others “ho hum. It rained in Washington. It always rains” 😡 True it does, but it’s normally a drizzle or light rain all day. Not 10 inches in five hours. Entire fields turned into lakes💔

There was a situation back in say, maybe 1974-5?? in Snohomish County. The entire Valley between Everett & Lk Stevens. The water was so high that livestock were hung up in trees and the water was almost to the bottom of Hwy 2. It was horrifying as a kid to see that. Now there are somewhat brand new apartment homes etc at the west side of this valley. Couldn't help but think, WHY would they do that!?!?
