I find it ironic that I can get platinum caterpillar rebuild and put a million miles on that rebuild motor with zero issues. Matter of fact 12 rebuilds in the last 6 years I only had a issue on a tractor that I had zero choice to go with aftermarket. During Covid I had to use the aftermarket rebuild kit for a Caterpillar and it didn't last 2 years. Dropped a liner in less than 185,000 and I had to eat the repair. So yes give me a oem and a platinum rebuild.

Kits also are only as good as the installer! The best kit installed poorly will fail early!

I’m gonna take my chances with a brand new part verses a 5-7 million mile part that’s been cleaned and re boxed.

Just like his reman clutch video. Most the parts in an oem kit are reman but that’s totally fine evidently.

I would like to see you interview some of your past customers that have put a lot of miles on their engines. I think you do good work. Just think it will be neat to hear their opinions.

I have a guy that swears PDI and Mcbee cylinder packs break on Cummins and prematurely wear in Cat. Any truth to that? Thx

Years ago I also thought oem was the only way but I’ve seen proof that it’s not the case. That guy is just stating his opinion with no data proving what he is saying. Only thing I get oem is electrical/sensors or if I don’t have choice and customer wants oem.
