even a capitalist society needs government intervention to sort out monopolistic and uncompetitive practices and even that's not happening. we're so deep into late stage capitalism that even the mechanisms to keep the evil beast at bay isn't even being applied. we need to kill the beast.

near total participation direct democracy is the only kind of democracy that can work anyway. you can't beat arrow's impossibility theorem any other way. but to achieve this requires careful planning and purpose built technology for information dissemination and arbitration. so in the meantime we need to switch to any socialist model that removes the lobbying mechanism

fossil fuels will not kill us nor is it a finite resource. these ideas were created by fossil fuel companies to protect their interests. 1.Making people believe that the resource is finite gives them the ability to control the price of oil 2. Making people believe that climate change is caused by fossil fuels gives them the ability to paywall and cut out any sort of competition because these regulations are unaffordable. 3. Dick Cheney was once the CEO of Haliburton which is why American Soldiers died protecting oil wells in the Middle East. US oil companies wanted the free faucet. I don't disagree that these fossil fuel CEOs don't belong at these meetings nor do they have any place in government. I regret to inform you, they ARE the government. The "Free Market" died over a century ago.
