My grandma doesn’t even know who I am anymore. Sometimes she does sometimes she doesn’t. And that hurts even more. I hate it. I miss her. And I can’t do anything.

my nana couldn't recognize her own daughter (my mom) sometimes, but she would always recognize me whenever i would go with my mom. my nana's dementia & alzheimers weighed on my mom a lot. my poppop on my dad's side had it too. i always wish i could know them better.

Bby, my nana passed away 2 years ago and had dementia for 7 years. Every day gets harder and harder. Remember that they are always them deep down! They love you forever. Sometimes just don’t know how to unlock the words to say it 🥰❤️

Before my grandma passed I visited and when I asked her if she remembered me she said she did, though the pictures. Which I was glad she knew who I was but I wanted her to remember me as her grandchild she used to babysit, not a girl in a photo album

We took my grandma somewhere to do some studies done on her because we thought she had dementia. Later that summer we were to a plaza in Mexico and my mom got the saddest call of her life. They told us that she had Alzheimer’s and we were to late to cure it:(
