Seriously?? so you think he has nothing to pay. Most people don’t get the buildings they are renting out for free and then make free money. Once he pays that then he wants to make money that’s the point of renting. It’s like an income.

It’s his building. He can raise rent if he wants.

We call this capitalism. But it only works with a conscience. However, you should demand a clean well maintained apartment. That’s what your $825 a month for rent.

This is what happens when you raise minimum wage arbitrarily. Everything else goes up because everything else cost more. Landlord has to pay more for a plumber, etc. Hourly employee loses in the long run

It’s called PROPERTY TAXES.. when renters vote to approve increases, then YOUR rent goes up.

Damn… $800/mo comes with low expectations? I used to have a super nice apartment in Cincinnati for $900/mo. Granted that was in 2007… but I still remember the days when you could rent an efficiency for $250/mo (in a college area where rent was elevated).

The amount of people defending national rental companies and landlords is kinda wild. People acting like their taxes increase 10% annual is complete BS. It's not an excuse to extort your tenants especially when you're providing sup part living conditions, zero maintenance and no upgrades annually. These peoples acting like slum lords are "just trying to get by"

They raise it depending on your amount of times you lease it too. Mine increased every year for my one year leases.
