I would return the gifts that weren’t broken and they wouldn’t get any more gifts. Not for birthday not for Christmas not for probably two or three years but that’s just me. I’m a tough mom. I also have well educated productive members of society as children. my kids are adults.

Guess who's not getting anything until they turn 18 (kicked out) or get a job to pay for what they want. My folks had all of us kids earn are gifts (Christmas and birthdays) room and board was a given.
