First off, it’s been this way for decades, second of all the ink cartridge in the printer is a starter cartridge which will only print a few pages. Second, Walmart absolutely does not match online prices, so absolutely no story here.

The ink cartridge that comes with a printer is usually half the ink than a new cartridge in may brands. Or used to be at least.

I would’ve walked outside taking that cartridge out and walked right back in and say oh I’m sorry it’s missing the cartridge. I’d like to return this.

The ink that comes with the printer is loaded with less ink.

often people get confused while ordering from Walmart online. they have 3rd party sellers. any random person can get an account and sell things on Walmart.com. if its from a 3rd party sellers they can't price match. if its actually Walmart they can.

If you're trying to price match Walmart's website in store, the item online needs to be shipped and sold by Walmart.com, not another 3rd party seller. Similarly if trying to have Walmart (or any other major retailer) trying to price match their competitors. The item must be shipped & sold by that competitor.

And for this reason I price check everything on the Walmart app and add to cart if it is cheaper than the price on the shelf!
