It all comes down to strategy and fit. ❌ In the rejection version, I’m constantly editing, and second-guessing. That’s what happens when an essay doesn’t have a clear structure. You feel like you need to keep adding more because you’re not sure what the main point actually is. ⚠️ In the waitlisted version, the story is clearer, but the direction isn’t fully locked in yet. This is what it looks like when an essay is decent, but not clearly aligned with what the school is prioritizing. ✅ In the acceptance version, every paragraph builds toward the same direction, and that direction lines up with what UCLA actually looks for in its admits.
