I happened to be in the ER for something else and went into SVT and they caught it....I BAWLED!!! After years of doctors and tests, I FINALLY had proof I wasn't just "anxious"!!! But, then the whole discussion of how they stop it came up and I was suddenly not as happy. lol I hate being converted.

I had an SVT episode that required 2 rounds of adenosine to get me out of it and my cardiologist STILL told me he didn't think anything was wrong with me 🤣

I had a loop record for over a year and half with 15 episodes of my hr being 250s+ and they still didn’t do anything. “Well, we still don’t know what’s causing it so we don’t know how to fix it”. Meanwhile I just went to the ER one day and after all 3 doses of adenosine, I was scheduled for a heart cath and ablation the next day with a different doctor.

I went to the ER every single time for a year because my cardiologist told me to, to catch it on ekg. The night I was diagnosed, the doctor was literally handing me my script for a fugging anti anxiety med! My monitor started goin off saying a-fib but it was actually SVT.

wore a monitor for a month with more than 12 episodes of tachy all between 150-216bpm (at rest!!) just for my cardiologist to say “it’s common in young women, try drinking 100oz of water a day and we’ll revisit in 6 months”

I was having SVT episodes, caught it on the heart monitor….. they said “nah not concerned.” Drink more sodium for your POTS. 😝

I’m a paramedic, wore 4 different monitors from 22-23 they caught an episode of SVT with a heart rate of 196. The cardiologist gaslit me and said I was in sinus tachycardia. I was born with Kawasaki disease so I have scarring on one of my valves. He down played it until I told him my history, then proceeded to say he would give me metoprolol without properly diagnosing me. Catching it doesn’t always mean you get the help. But good luck. 🥺

My pvcs were caused from my period! I also have endometriosis…which tends to overload the endocrine system so it just went wild. Had a hysterectomy…poooooffff GONE

Just took mine off and sent it in. Had the episodes and documented my heart rate varying from 50-170s while resting & sleeping and got the results back today I’m told it’s just anxiety.

Just had my ablation on 12/3 after 12 years of trying to catch it on heart monitor and finally did!! No more 260+ heart rates 🙌🏻😭🎉. Ablation was literally the best thing. 10/10 recommended
