In the past, many foreign women didn’t really see Asian men as potential partners, and unless someone studied or immigrated abroad, there were hardly any chances to meet foreigners at all. These days, although there still aren’t that many foreign women who are into Korea, there are definitely more than before, and many people are open to dating across cultures. One reason why more Korean men are dating foreign women might be because of how expressive and appreciative they are — even small gifts often get a big, warm reaction. Many Korean men find that kind of response very charming. Of course, Korean-Korean couples are still the overwhelming majority, but overall, I think the increase in international couples is a positive change.

A “K-K” marriage isn’t worth it anymore. It’s so political between families and there isn’t even a significant status change as opposed to staying with a foreigner who doesn’t have the toxic traditional K standards and expectations

The unglamorous truth is that in Korea many companies expect you to work 14 hr days 5-6 days a week for joke wages. Women don’t want to marry since kids would be too expensive, men are willing to marry for Sx. So many foreign women come expecting a different life and then get stuck like DebtWifeDiaries.

Yup, K culture has a huge impact, i honestly had no idea how much it’s popular. And a lot of white girls love it! I noticed on tik tok that Russia and Ukranian girls especially seem to be making families there.
