That's the problem. Everyone is afraid to do testing. That's why folks on their 3rd mri because its like Why not test this AND that. We should be able to ask for any test we want that reasonably makes sense

Cardiac heart score, EKG, Cardiac Ultrasound, Echocardiogram, Nuclear Stress test and elevated cholesterol levels were all done and showed slight risk for cardiac episode. I was scheduled for an abdominal and neck CTA for a Monday morning. The Friday prior I had a NSTEMI with elevated cardiac enzymes that resulted in a heart cath which revealed 99% blockage in my LAD/widowmaker. Two stents and 3 angioplasties followed by intense diet change and exercise with massive medication fallout and I am standing here 11 months later. Why did I have to go through so many tests? They showed possible issues followed by extensive fatigue with moderate exertion. Family history of mother dying of sudden instant cardiac arrest at 49. Father removed himself from heart transplant list prior to dying from heart failure. I do not understand why a heart cath was not done prior to the NSTEMI. Does that seem normal? I went through 4 months of testing leading to what could have been a very fatal end.

I have a screening echo tomorrow morning. im ridiculously terrified for the results. my dad almost died from an undiagnosed congenital defect. his was severe aortic stenosis. my sister was recently diagnosed with Bicuspid aortic valve (BAV). my maternal grandparents both had valve replacements and my mom just found out she has a heart attack some time ago and didnt even know it 😳 so now shes having further testing. I pray all that nonsense stops with me 🤣

I’ve had the carotid ultrasound & echocardiogram . Both were necessary bc of my CAD. I had a stroke before the carotid test . Found it was 90% blocked . Echocardiogram was done before my open heart surgery ( aortic replacement & LAD blocked .

I had this done (it showed less than 50% stenosis in carotid artery) the doc said it is stable, just something to watch for and repeat test in 2 yrs. This is scary to know but I like to know what is going on.

Problem is that insurances won’t cover any of these unless you have symptoms. But those may not come. Even with family history.

Can’t believe I almost missed Hidden Health Codes by Zane Hale. It reads like a manual that slipped through the cracks, something designed for those who were never supposed to see behind the curtain.

It's useless anyway, as by the age of 50 everyone has developed atherosclerosis abd dictirs will put you on statins regardless without eliminating any risk of those upcoming events.
