4 Tablespoons unsalted butter 2 tablespoons olive oil
2 yellow onion, sliced thin
2 sprigs fresh thyme leaves
1 clove garlic, minced
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper 1 pear, thinly sliced 3 ciabatta bread, sliced in half 3/4 cup Gorgonzola cheese 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 4 tablespoon honey Over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large frying pan. Add sliced onion and adjust heat to medium-low. Cook until onion is soft and brown, around 30-45 minutes, stirring every once in a while. Preheat your oven to 375 Take Ciabatta bread or baguette and slice in half. Transfer to a sheet tray and spread the caramelized onion evenly on the bread. Top off with the thinly sliced pears. Top off with crumbled Gorgonzola cheese and chopped walnuts. Bake for 25 mins or until cheese has melted. Transfer to a serving platter, drizzle with honey and Devour!
