People who actually see the ending as a good one are so lost in life. The point of the movie is just how psychopaths like Fletcher find gratification and pleasure I’m abusing people and gaining power over people in a sort of every day setting. Neimen was manipulated and lost himself completely by the end of the movie. His family, his relationship, his time, all of it. It’s really likely he killed himself after that performance. And fletcher would spit on his grave. Chasing a dream and losing your humanity in obsession are two very different things.
