Learn in a manual is a good skill to have but I don’t think that makes me a better driver than other people I drive a automatic.now parallel parking and backing in into a parking spot that’s different just kidding haha 😆

Going fast in a straight line doesn’t make you a good driver, like sticking feathers up your butt doesn’t make you a chicken. Can a auto out shift a manual? Yes… but can you call yourself a skilled driver just because you can hold onto a steering wheel? Personally, I say no. There advantages and disadvantages to both, but I don’t feel as if any sports car (unless it’s something comparable to let’s say the c8 zr1(x), or something built to compete in very high level racing) should ever come factory auto… atleast in a sense of a top model to a base model (use the c5-c7 corvette as a example, everything above the base model, or atleast the highest model of z06 or zr1 should be manual.) if you want the experience of having the car, but want it as more of a everyday car to get where you’re going, then a base model will suffice in a auto.

automatics used to suck balls. some brands still make shit automatics. most automatics are goated now though. manuals are just for car enthusiasts nowadays. no one cares anymore if you drive manual or not.

Either YOU drive the car or the CAR drives you. I miss my 2004 6-speed Acura TL. I now drive a 2018 Acura TLX A-Spec with paddle shifters. I love my TLX but it's just not the same.

After driving my C8, with the DCT, there is no way you could ever shift fast then on of those, but I do love manual transmission, I have one in my 2005 Z4
