My parents are divorced and I was always with my dad Christmas Eve/morning so my mom always told me Santa comes Christmas night too for divorced families, and I believed it until I stopped believing in Santa!

We have this same arrangement and I'm doing the same thing. My daughter is also 2.5 and doesn't know the difference so 🤷🏻♀️

Christmas is whenever you say! Santa comes here Christmas eve eve so we get to sleep at my parents house on Christmas Eve and spend Christmas morning there.

The day after Christmas is the best with toddlers! The magic is still there, they can play with all their new toys all day long, eat food and stay in jammies and you don’t have to get up and ready to travel for dinners/families!

Some of my kids are much older than Natty and they asked for this style of Christmas years ago. Where if they aren’t with me for Christmas morning we make our own Christmas morning the next day. He will appreciate this as he gets older ❤️

I had this same schedule when I was a kid (only at 12 instead of 2) and Santa always came early/late depending on where I was and I literally never caught on and neither did my siblings lol

Such a good plan, my husbands parents made them flip flop between like 5 houses when they split and he never really got to sit down and enjoy Christmas

If it works for you and it remains peaceful then that’s a win. He has no idea when actually Christmas is. We do two Christmas days as well with our grandkids. We got them 8 gifts each. (One semi big gift) then my daughter got them a combo big gift and 4 presents each They are 2 and 5. They have everything they want and need.

Step mom of 2 who are now teens! We have always done Christmas morning the morning after! Santa has always made our house the last stop on midnight in the 25th! Whatever works to keep the magic alive!

As an older kid, we would write our letters to Santa and include which parents house we’d be at which day. It was really special and I always loved it bc it extended the holiday!
