Moris depiction of Elise is a young girl because he yearns for love and a family. If had ended up getting a wife and child, they would exploited by enemies of the Port Mafia and would always be at risk. By having Elise, Mori doesn’t have to worry about anything happening to her as she is his ability and can defend herself either way. Elise is the child that Mori wishes for yet will never have.

Mori the biggest misunderstood character in the fandom. He truly loves children, not in a weird way but in the pure fatherly way, beast showed it, he cherishes kids. BUT he love and cherishes Yokohama more. If Yokohama was peaceful, if it didn't need his help he would have been such a good dad, the best kind who spoiled and loves his children.
