@agatemagnet: Always check fallen over trees tree roots if your in an area that has agates! Most of the time the agates are deep in the ground and fallen over trees pop up anything that was down below. Almost everytime I've checked some tree roots it's always had agates stuck in them or in the dirt where the tree was standing. These storms here in WA are no joke!
