I have heard some disgusting stories while I was hospitalized for 8 months in a nursing home /rehab facility…They had to teach me how to walk & talk again…I was the only one on my side that could talk w/ a speaking valve…Although I was a patient…The aides & nurses would come in the room & Tell me stories & The stories were horrible & disgusting…I along w/ another gentleman were the only ones that could speak for ourselves…The others were non verbal or limited speech…And those are the ones that I felt bad for…Nor did they get visits from their families…At least not while I was a patient for those 8 months.
