I’d like to point out that other whales can definitely hear 52 Blue. He’s not calling outside of normal whale hearing range, he’s just calling at a slightly different frequency. He basically has a heavy accent

I think the point is being missed. I used the 52-Hz whale as an example, but this isn’t about one whale or one frequency. Even whales that vocalise in the normal range are increasingly turning up stranded because ocean noise disrupts communication and navigation. This is a real, ongoing issue with real consequences not just a story. 💙
