I’m not sure if this is something that would be hard to hear but I hope it brings some kind of comfort. Pickles may have turned because he sensed the heart attack was already coming. They have an awareness that humans just don’t and it can have unexpected reactions. It’s unlikely there was anything that you missed or anything that could have been done differently. I am so sorry that you are going through this pain it is an indescribable weight to bear. It’s easier said than done but please try not to dwell on the what ifs or the guilt of not being able to change things. He lived a beautiful life and was loved so greatly by so many. And all he wanted from this life was his humans happiness. Please try to remember that while you grieve this insurmountable loss. Nothing can make this easier for you, but keep his love for you and the fact he wouldn’t want you to suffer in mind alongside the heartache. He wouldn’t want you to lose yourself to your sadness.
