I do like the idea of the rosary but I can’t past the praying the Hail Mary. I know Mary holds a significant role, but “we can only get to the father through Jesus” so shouldnt we just be praying to the Father & Jesus

I rlly appreciate Catholicism being very rooted in the sacrments and that they have structure that Protestantism lacks. But when I visited the Vatican and saw how much Mary was depicted above God the Father and Jesus, even physically in pictures in the Catholic Church...it rlly solidified to me that Catholicism makes her an idol....and she is NOT God. If it was that important to pray to her scripture would tell us to do so, but instead it focuses on the centrality of Christ. I highly disagree w praying to Mary and the saints. We can respect their roles in church history without making them idols

Mary is a vessel God used, it doesn’t make her sinless or godly. Bible teaches and focuses on Jesus, the Holy Spirit, God alone.

“Hail Mary full of grace” could be read as “Hail Mary who has been fully graced” and the early language indicates a past, present, and continuing of “fullness of grace”
