MJ (like any other singer) has hundreds if not thousands of hours of unused recordings. after he passed his music rights and recordings went to his estate (relatives, companies and close friends in his will) who control what is done with it. the song was completed and released in 2014 using vocals that were recorded before his death in 2009.

for those who are confused why it says "2014" even though Michael died at "2009". This song was released 5 years after Michael's death, he recorded this song after his concert I think on Chicago, cuz during his performance a girl fan came to him and I think he grew feelings for her then he found out the girl was married, after his concert he recorded this song hidden out of anger and emotionally, fun fact this song wasn't even planned to be released but they still did after Michaels death.
