as an eye glass professional, the way you're trying to get your lenses in and old scares me. Try pushing to remove from the backside and inserting from the front side of your frame. you will have a lot less trouble

🤔 a nail drill might be worth it to save you time. it's got varied speed control, lots of different filling tip options, and they're not very expensive to try.

Can you recycle the plastic from the broken glasses in the 3D printer?

maybe try designing and the top to have slits where you can slide the glass in to the frame instead of forcing it out

The one pair of glasses I broke were because I got decked in a circle pit. what on earth are you doing that you're breaking glasses regularly??

i think you should tweak your print settings for a nicer finish. it might still not be perfect, but will lessen the time you spend filing them

Everybody in the comments saying they wear glasses full time and have never broken them - HOW? I break glasses so much that I exclusively wear contact lenses at this point 😅

someone should tag that one guy that shows how to make the fast food items people love. he also travels the world to get tasty looking food. he throws his glasses after taking a bite. ya he definitely needs to start printing his glasses.

What if u just make a little slot on the design to just slip the lenses on?like on the top?

fully agree with the other commenter about putting the lenses in from the front. also, have the last "corner" you pop in be the lower nasal ones, because it's less corner-y, it tends to pop in easiest and has the least risk of damaging the frame or lens (I also work as an optical dispenser)

Heyyy I am an optician and wanted to tell you that it’s easier when you take out and put in the glasses the other way around , so like don’t put your thumb on the front side put it on the inside and near the nose/ middle part 🫶🏽
