Prenups are important but also understanding these laws were originally in place to protect women who would be left with nothing, they couldn’t have jobs or bank accounts, they would be abandoned after putting everything into a family. If society has changed so should the law, but until that happens, you are legally bound to your spouse. That is how it works. As a divorce lawyer he should 100% know injustice can work both ways. You can leave a woman with nothing or half of something. He’s acting like the woman is just an accessory in marriage and didn’t put any unpaid labor towards home and family management.
