Thank you! I’ve been in pain for over 10 years but it’s neuropathy so I didn’t even realize for over a week that I broke a toe because I’m so used to pain. Thought it was normal.

Thank you for believing her! I’m much younger than 85, but when a doctor doesn’t even try imaging, I feel dismissed. I have chronic pain and was told it was normal my entire life.

I just had an ACDF at 30 yesterday old bc nobody would believe me for YEARS that I was in severe pain.. come to find out, my neck C4-C7 was entirely collapsed and paralyzing me like I told them I felt it was happening.

It took 5 years of unbearable pain and a trip to Europe because every doctor said lipomas don't hurt. I had hundreds and was finally dx with Adiposis Dolorosa... a very painful very rare disease.

I hate the question at the doctors office “are you in any pain today, scale of 1-10?”….. they all look at me funny when I say “well yeah but that’s just my normal pain, it’s not why I’m here. (Scoliosis with a history of sciatic nerve pain and early degenerative disc disease)

I was in pain for over 15 years until one doctor listened to me. I had adenomyosis and endometriosis. My right ovary was calcifying and the left one has cysts. I also have a bleeding disorder that meant my periods were killing me. Countless doctors brushed me aside. Until one didn’t 😭

Yeah I dislocated my hip, severe labral tear, chip in my femur. Didn’t find out for 5 years 🙄. I kept telling everyone it felt like my leg was falling off my body, horrible back pain. They all thought I was crazy until I got the MRI. Probably 7+ doctors 👍🏻
