The “new” King and Queen used to ride bicycle around Copenhagen and picked up their kids on bikes when they where younger. They are very down to earth compared to a lot of other royal families 🤗

Learn about the history of Margrethe the first. And then think about the fact, that Frederik the 9., named his daughter Margrethe the 2., and later change the law, so that she could be the ruler. It's never really talked about, but he was pretty cool for that 😎

I’m not a royalist, but I can’t help but love Margrethe (or Daisy, as she’s also known). She has great taste in fashion (and had some great dresses in the 60’ies, especially) and art. One of the royal palaces is near me, and I love walking by (it’s in a park which is open to visitors when it isn’t occupied) and looking up at the windows, where you can see a collection of beautiful coloured glassware. Have you seen the photo of her in her flowery raincoat?

Queen Margrethe personally attended the first official gay wedding in Denmark just to congratulate the couple! She was very supportive of it :> She also has a passion for theater and design!

Queen Margrethe is cool and also very intelligent. When asked about the conversation at the dinner table a guest told the press he talked to Margrethe about art in churches in Denmark in the 14th century! 😱

My brother served on the royal yacht and there were stories of Queen Margrethe making sandwiches for all the sailors on a stormy day where everyone but her got sea sick.

Her grandfather, Christian X, rode alone on his horse, Rolf, in the streets of Copenhagen during the German occupation in WW2 as a passive resistance. Oh, and his son, Frederik IX, had a lot of cool tattoos.
