Planet fitness employee here, not sure about other clubs but I know for ours during closing time per PF policy we lock the doors 20 minutes prior to the closing time so no one can come in, but members still in the club don’t have to leave until the posted closure time. We clean and organized inbetween members.

If a business has hours posted and it says 8pm then to me that means 8pm not 7:15pm. If the employees did there jobs correctly there would only be minimal cleaning to do at the end of the night

I worked at a domino's pizza we closed at 1am we made pizza till 1am then closed and cleaned up after closing still got paid till we clocked out I'm sure its the same at almost every business why would it be different at this one planet fitness

Their policy is not to close early and if he gets yelled at then that’s a management problem. Policy is close at closing time then clean.
