The US will use overwhelming force against any vessel entering or departing Venezuela and the United States will target shore facilities in Venezuela. Why this matters (Context): * US Sanctions/Interdiction: The US has naval assets in the Caribbean for anti-drug ops, but tensions with Venezuela (allied with Russia) are high, creating a volatile mix where incidents could be misinterpreted. * "Blurred Lines":Tankers might fear being caught in the middle, mistaking interdiction for hostile action, while the US operates under specific mandates. Consequences: * Geopolitical Crisis:Could draw in Russia, a key ally of Venezuela, escalating regional instability. * Humanitarian Risk: Crew will be harmed, and shipping lanes endangered. * Legal & Political Fallout: Raises questions about maritime law, sovereignty, and the scope of US authority in international waters. In essence, resisting US boarding or attacking US assets will lead to significant US military reprisal including, but not limited to, complete and total destruction of all tankers, vessels, ships, and boats within 100 miles of the Venezuela shoreline. It will be extremely difficult for a fourth tanker to leave the Venezuelan Coast and refuse to stop for the United States military. If Venezuela is a friend of Russia and China, then Venezuela is an enemy of the United States . If Putin fires a nuclear weapon, a few moments later his entire Russia will disappear from the map. Putin cannot win a nuclear war, and he cannot win a conventional war against NATO. Putin is desperately asking for advice. What Putin is saying is that if a country “secretly loans Ukraine a few nuclear weapons and if Ukraine gives up its nuclear weapons, Russia will never attack Ukraine” during the next 1000 years starting today. If this war doesn’t stop right now, more Russian people will be dead. This is not good for Russia. If Vladimir Putin continues this war, Russia will become an isolated, hyper-militarized state with a deteriorating economy, an overbearing government, and have severe social and demographic challenges. Prolonged, large-scale conflicts generally impede economic development.
