This is so beautiful & great to know!!! Born & raised in Atlanta, moving to Miami only recently, I’ve felt a sense of “outsider-ness” or like black American ppl/culture isn’t centered or celebrated in Miami especially not like how it is in atl…ofc I know white/latin are the dominant cultural forces down here today but this page & footage is really heartwarming & simply learning the history of black Miami (& living a couple mins from overtown) makes me feel a whole lot more welcome! 🙏🏾
