All the ppl saying chains not necessary don't realize that at the top of the pass, there would likely be plenty of snow and ice. At the bottom, yes most is melted. Try climbing some of these hills with no chains lol Especially on the Coq

I’m a 28yr vet… whenever chains were required .. I went to the nearest truckstop or rest-area and I pulled the yellow and red buttons !!!! And it was lights out for me !!!! 😂😂 It’s not worthy

if u get a slapping noise from your chains that is a indication they are way to loose and u are going to do damage to chains and vehicle. alway roll a truck length forwards or back and retighten them before driving on them.
