First of all, the amnesia storyline felt completely unnecessary. As if the characters hadn’t already been through enough pain, the lie about her being married and having a child, as well as the false accusation that she leaked company secrets.
Secondly, both his mother and her mother had witnessed and supported their love for each other. Yet when he loses his memory and forgets her and his feelings for an entire year, they simply accept it and do nothing to help them reunite. That felt very unrealistic and frustrating.
Lastly, the number of coincidences was just too much. As if it wasn’t already enough of a coincidence that she starts working at his father’s company, she then travels to Jeju to look for her sister, the very place where they first met. On top of that, her sister happens to be working at the same hotel where they met. To be allowed into the hotel party where her sister is waiting tables, she has to wear an elegant dress, and by yet another coincidence, she chooses the very dress he once bought for her on Jeju. She changes into it, attends the party, and in the exact place where they shared their first kiss, she runs into him. Suddenly, he remembers her and his feelings for her. Despite the fact that they seemingly hadn’t been in contact at all, she simply accepts it, is happy about it, and lets him kiss her.
