Med error 1982 my moms told she’s got a cyst the size of a grapefruit it needs to be removed asap. Week before surgery she’s doing preop they say to my mom “what if it’s a baby would you be happy?” Ummm yes. Hello I’m the grapefruit born may 1983.

Retired EMT here. A nurse started CPR on a woman who had a pulse 🤦🏼‍♀️Patient lived & it was documented in her chart that compressions were done while she was alive 😬

I got a patient once whose nurse on med surg gave 300 units of short acting insulin IV push. Yes you read that correctly, 300 units. She was supposed to give 10 units for hyperkalemia. She thought she was supposed to do some drug math, to this day I can’t figure out where she got a formula for that.
