I heard a wonderful immigrant family saying they don't celebrate Christmas but they have started celebrating what they call the Canadian gift giving season. They had all the decor and Santa just nothing that was tied to the religious element of the holiday. I thought it was a brilliant way to enjoy the festivities but still honour their own beliefs.♥️♥️♥️♥️

You’re the cool uncle. I just got a religious lecture from my uncle about us not being Christian. Now as an adult I celebrate it as a secular holiday. No Jesus but presents are awesome

I told my children from as young as they cld comprehend that Santa is not real & that I buy them all their presents & if they want something they earn it, so that they can never say I lied to them

To be honest Santa Claus has nothing to do with Christianity so i actually think it’s sad to not let the children celebrate Christmas if you choose to move to a country were all the other kids do and get presents, you just make the children feel like outsiders and in school when all their friends talk about what they got for Christmas they will feel sad that they did not get anything. I have a lot of friends who are not Christian but still celebrate birthdays and Christmas 🙂

I get given presents for Xmas from my work colleagues which out of respect I take and I tell them that they will get a present on end. same concept
