It’s not a “q” shape it’s a “p” shape. (There’s a little demonstration on the top bobbin cover plate.) Also never turn the hand wheel away from you. Always towards you.

You missed a step in threading, before threading the needle, you have to hook it onto a little area right above it

I’ve had my sewing machine for months, even in a sewing class. I ran to my machine because I bought it off someone and didn’t think it came with the extra tools. Once I saw the drawer I had to check. Everything was in a bag inside 😐 bruh I even cleaned and oiled it. I needed that key so BAD. Had it the whole time
