@godlyflms: James is so peak (tiktok make this go viral please 😔✌🏽) // #silenthill2 #jamessunderland #fyp #viral #ae

BlazingAsterXVII :

I think James was lying here. He didn’t hate Mary. He hated the disease, what it did to Mary, and what Mary became because of it. The whole point of Silent Hill is that James feels guilty and hates himself for what he did. He’s tormenting himself. I think he did mercy kill Mary but he regrets it so much he’s demonizing himself and calling himself a heartless monster. That’s why she said he looks sad, she knows he loves her. James was abused by Mary who became bitter after realizing she was going to die. Which drove him to the brink alongside the grief of knowing his wife would die and he couldn’t do anything. I don’t think James was truly motivated by hatred when he did what he did. I think it was twisted love in the end. What he did was awful. By I don’t think he’s a terrible person. I’ve seen caretakers who had to look after parents and lovers who ended up resenting them so badly they wished they would die.

I was dying of cancer when this game dropped it made me cry extra bad because I really thought I was going to die and hearing how Mary felt I really understood her the most at that time

He didn’t hate her. He hated the disease, but it was easier to kill her than to kill the disease

People who forgive him do so for a reason. because he knows the sin he committed; he's a broken man seeking forgiveness from the person he hurt, a man looking for a way to remove that pain from his heart. That's why he's justified; he's one of the few men with the heart to ask for forgiveness.
