I feel like Steve was right here on a certain point. He wasn’t true when he said he saved no one but he was right when he said that Eddie was trying to play hero when they both could’ve gotten out of there alive. Dustin wouldn’t have seen Eddie in such a traumatic state and die alone in the upside down. Steve just said it harsh because they are having a slow recovery because I think between the time of Eddie’s death and s5’s release Dustin became isolated and himself a bit harsh because of losing a best friend. And he’s mad he’s going to lose Steve which is not just a friend but a father figure to him because as we’ve seen his actual father isn’t even around. I really hope both of them survive. I really do.
