What I don’t understand is why they didn’t activate the approach phase on the DU. He entered the approach data and it appears auto throttle was still active. Had he just activated the approach phase the aircraft would’ve slowed much quicker. You can see the IAS indicator showing 162kts, not the 134-136kts required for landing. You also don’t see the reference landing speed at the bottom of the speed indicator meaning they didn’t activate appr. He also could’ve deployed gear sooner to dump more speed, you can extend gear at 270kts, just a lot of mistakes and missed procedures.
