no let's look at the reality of the truth of what you just said the reason why we disconnect the negative first is not because the chassis grounded to the negative it's because of the electronics that are in the vehicle sometimes not every time but a majority of the time if you're taking out the battery or disconnecting say just a positive and you go to connect it sometimes the surge of energy can either destroy or mess up the ECM that's in it or anything that runs off the power as soon as it's plugged in I know I've seen it happen multiple times it even happened to my brother when he didn't listen to me so that's the main reason why we take the ground off and not depositive

It’s all because of the computers, if you disconnect the positive (first) or reconnect the positive (last) you can cause an spike and short circuit a module.
