What is there is no curbs and your back tires are over the line.It should be in front of the line , not over the line , so you are wrong and when you're parallel parking and there's only one spot, you should reverse you driving straight in that's wrong even though there's more than one spots you could just drive straight in just saying and That don't work for every car. If the car is a SUV are bigger.

if you're a short person you will see the curb even after you hit the curb. if you're very tall, you probably stop far from curb. best is to test and how far is the curb for your height. if you keep adjusting seat height, you will need to re-adjust your sight too .
